Matt provides litigation support in cases involving drug or alcohol-induced human performance impairment. With an M.S. in Clinical Toxicology and 18+ years of law enforcement experience (among other education and experience), his unique perspective combines a detailed scientific understanding of the mechanisms underlying drug intoxication and personal experience with forensic evaluation of intoxicated subjects.
Matt has experience utilizing, instructing, and testifying on all of the NHTSA sobriety testing programs. He has also administered numerous alcohol dosing labs where subjects are dosed to target alcohol concentrations, monitored for emerging behaviors and changing BAC, and given sobriety tests by students. Matt also holds multiple certifications in safe alcohol service programs and previously managed alcohol permit compliance and training programs for a municipality with over 80 licensed establishments. He is a member of several national and international advisory and oversight boards in the fields of sobriety testing, forensic toxicology, and highway safety.
